Education

Christina has been involved in theatrical and cinematic arts since her early teens, starting as a performer, progressing toward a director.

She attended Hofstra University from 2015--2019. She was 1 of 14 students accepted in the drama department's B.F.A program for theatrical production. She concentrated in stage direction, also finding interest in costume design. She was able to gain experience directing Shakespeare, Tennessee Williams, short plays, full-length plays, and musicals. She has also directed various cast sizes ranging from 3-30 performers.

Christina pursued minors in film production and fine arts in addition to her B.F.A.

Cinematically, she concentrated in video editing. She produced several peers' short thesis films, alongside her own. Christina prefers to work in the Adobe Creative Suite, but also has training in Avid Media Composer. She also took a liking to analytical courses such as "Film Theory" and "Film Adaptation," which analyzed authorship and the effectiveness of different methods of storytelling.

Christina sought a broader education in fine arts by taking several classes to learn the fundamentals of various mediums. She was trained in figure drawing, drawing perspectives and proportions, basic acrylic and watercolor painting, digital photography, and the Adobe Creative Suite

In 2022 Christina was certified in Hospitality and Tourism Industry Essentials from NYU through Yellowbrick.

Achievements

and Internships

In both high school and college Christina noticed a lack in performance opportunities for students, and thus created two new productions. As Vice President of the International Thespian Honor Society, alongside her President, she started "Cabaret Night." This gave students an opportunity to perform short scenes, write works to be performed, and showcase talents no other school production allowed them to in the past. At Hofstra University, Christina founded and directed the first Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast, which performed yearly. Christina firmly believes in creating new opportunities or finding collaborators to help in creating opportunities for students.

In the fall semester of 2017, Christina was awarded the Dr. Swiney Scholarship by the honors fraternity Alpha Psi Omega, which she would be extended a bid to join the following year. The scholarship was for the most outstanding production major of the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes of Hofstra's Drama Department.

Christina also received a large academic scholarship all four years of college for maintaining a G.P.A over 3.2. She was on the Dean's List all terms, the Provost's List her last semester, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a cumulative G.P.A of 3.85.

The summer of 2018 Christina interned for Boomerang Theatre Company as an assistant director for their production of Twelfth Night featured in Central Park. She assisted the director in giving notes, doing dramaturgical research, filling in for missing actors, and running lines. Do to an unfortunate circumstance, the wardrobe intern had to resign and so Christina took over those responsibilities on top of her own. This included transporting, maintaining, mending, and cleaning costumes, as well as assisting actors with quick changes and avoiding overheating.
